We are pleased to announce that revision 2 of the ANT+ Shifting Device Profile is now available to ANT+ Members here. This update introduces new functionality and streamlines integration:
Function Set Events: Enhance your ride with the new Function Set Event feature, enabling shifting systems to communicate events directly to displays for seamless user control.
Trim Index:Tune your bike to perfection with the new Trim Index data page, which allows for precise trim adjustments to be sent directly to the display.
Enhanced Profile Requirements: We've aligned our profile requirements with the latest ANT+ Certification Process, ensuring robust testing and compatibility. For detailed insights, dive into the "Using This Document" section.
Redesigned for Clarity: Our profile has undergone significant restructuring to improve readability and ease of implementation, simplifying integration.
API Level Versioning: We've decoupled the functionality of the profile, referred to as the API Level, from the document revision number. This change introduces an ANT+ Data Page to better track profile functionality at runtime. See Data Page 5 - API Level (0x05) for specifics.
API Level Revision History: Keep track of functionality changes across API levels with our new API Level Revision History section, designed to provide clear visibility into the evolution of profile features.
Simplified Revision Process: We're streamlining updates by eliminating the minor revision number and focusing on a single revision number for clearer, more straightforward revisions.
