ANT suitable for home automation?

I'm wondering if ANT is suitable for my home automation idea.
The plan is to use some sensors and also to be able to control different items such as lights and fridges.
Since I want to be able to control every single wall outlet, the network needs to handle tens of, maybe up to a hundred nodes.

Also I would like it to be somewhat secure so no one from the outside can access the information or turn my oven on.

Do you think ANT is suitable for my project or should I go by a simple 433 MHz network?
