Hello,

before i start i need a very important information about sensor development under Garmin.
It is possible to develop a own sensor for my Garmin watch?
Use Garmin for the connectable sensor a ID before the sensor could be connect to the watch?

Hello Ralf,

Garmin devices support many ANT+ sensors natively, so you may develop any ANT+ sensor you'd like. If it's not ANT+ based, Connect IQ lets you write a custom app to connect over a custom ANT channel.

The "sensor ID" is based on the ANT Channel's Device ID, and that is up to the application to decide what it should be.
