Hello,

Does someone know how to extract the sleep data out of the fit file you get from garmin connect when exporting your data for one day ?

I used the fitTocsv, but the I could not figure out on that(those) csv file(s) the info for your sleep pattern for that day.

Sleep levels are stored in the intensity field of a monitoring message.

Do you know which "activity_type" in the monitoring message corresponds to "sleep"?
also is there an indication of the start (when you went to bed) and stop of the sleep (when you woke up) inside the monitoring message?      

It looks like Garmin is using the sedentary activity_type to represent sleep, potentially using the lower intensities for sleep (< 4)

There is no event in the monitoring message for marking the start and stop of sleep.
