My Android dev app when running the ANT+ HRM (Garmin Chest Strap or Mio Fuse) works well most of the time, however occassionally when the app is in the background IDeviceStateChangeReceiver.onDeviceStateChange() returns "DEAD" and pcc connection is lost. Is there a way to stop this from happening, or a way of automatically reconnecting when it occurs?      

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but how to tackle this issue?      

There is a certain way where it will be able to manage the most of hrm android on device state change () dead that has to reconnect the most of it so https://errorcode0x.com/fixed-firefox-couldnt-load-xpcom/ will show the process which will enough for them to proceed.
