I've just been wondering - has there been any development of ANT+ since 2016?

If not, why is that? Is it to insure that manufacturer's don't have to implement a bunch of firmware updates?

Or - is it 'complete' and not needing improved in any way?

There have been updates published to some profiles, such as the addition of cycling dynamics to the bike power profile. For the most part the profiles that have been published to adopters are stable and feature complete.

New profiles and features have been in development, but are not yet ready to be published to adopters.

It's a good wish. I advise you to read a few articles on databases and process automation capabilities. For example, this article https://trans4mind.com/counterpoint/index-study-education/collecting-analyzing-data.html will help you understand the initial stages of data analysis for quick learning. Craig Gibson's book will help improve algorithms for quickly finding information in online libraries.

ANT + is a wireless data transfer protocol. Powered by 2.4GHz (similar to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) and low power consumption, it is used in sports and medical equipment such as online calorie and cadence counters and smart home systems. As far as I know, the developers have not released any updates for this protocol in the last couple of years.

Guys, you gave very useful advice, thank you very much. During the development of some applications, I often get distracted by reading fiction, which sometimes allows me to take a fresh look at this or that application. I love the story about Sherlock Holmes very much and I read it very often. On the site https://paperap.com/free-papers/sherlock-holmes/ I read some very useful articles about Sherlock Holmes, the history of this book.
