I have been having trouble with our devices, which use AP2 chips, using too much power. It seems to be the ANT chips causing it. To check this, I tried measuring the current drawn by an AP2 module from one of the development kits, and this seems to have the same problem. As far as I can see, it's drawing about 2.5 mA even when there is no channel open - the power estimator comes up with more like 400 nA, and this is for when the channel is open.
It's in Asynchronous mode, 9600 baud/s, 1 channel in broadcast mode at 4 Hz.
Is there some reason for this, or alternatively some silly mistake I might have made in wiring it up that could account for this? The AP2 module is just on a breadboard, so easy to change, although the devices are actual PCBs at this stage
Thanks
