Hi to everybody,

I've two questions about ANT+ solution

1) I'm working on a new bike board with ANT. I'm not sure if is possible to create this architecture with these characteristics:
- ANT+ slave to share a parameter SPEED/CADENCE
- ANT+ master to read other slaves data SHIFT/LIGHT/HR

Is this solution feasible?

2) I didn't clearly understand which sensors my master device can read. For example, the electronic shifter like SRAM/Shimano/Campagnolo, with appropriate add-on, can easily share their gear ratio and battery or there is a particular protocol to achieve the communication?

ANT+ slave is the display side of most profiles (all those listed).
ANT+ master is the sensor side of most profiles (all those listed).

You want to be a source of speed/cadence and receive shifter, light, and HR information from other sensors. This is possible with one radio.

SRAM and Campagnolo are ANT+ shifters (see https://www.thisisant.com/directory/). An ANT+ shifting slave will receive information from them. SHIMANO Di2 is not ANT+. Gear ratio is not shared by ANT+ shifters, but the selected chainring position and cassette position are. See https://www.thisisant.com/resources/ant-device-profile-shifting/.

You will need to follow the profile documents from https://www.thisisant.com/developer/resources/downloads/#documents_tab for each profile when developing your solution and submit for certification https://www.thisisant.com/developer/ant-plus/certification/
