Hello,
I'm searching for the information, whether a slave could respond to a master with burst data. Or to put the question the other way round: Do I have to establish two channels if I want to send burst data between two devices in both directions?

kind regards,

Yes, burst messages are bidirectional (can be sent from slave to master). Please refer to Section 9.5.5.3 of the ANT Message Protocol and Usage document for more details on burst messages.

Ah, found it: "It should be noted that although the example in the figure shows only a master to slave (i.e. forward direction) burst transaction, burst transfers are also supported in the reverse direction. A Slave can burst in the reverse direction after a master broadcast, acknowledge or burst data transfer."

Thank you.
