how do you set the target pace on a workout?
I am trying to create a run workout with a target pace range e.g. 5min/km.
What fields do you need to set? what is the target type? and what are the units of the target?

You need to use custom_target_speed_low and custom_target_speed_high. which are in m/s with a scaling factor of 1000. You will have to do the pace to speed conversion and then decide what range you want to set for your 5min/km requirement.
