I appears that the radio reception rate is embedded within a FIT file.

Is this reception rate value tracked at the individual RECORD message level?

Are there any examples of how to retrieve this information from the FIT file? The public FITSDK does not reference how to retrieve the reception rate.

What do you mean with "Reception Rate"?
The .FIT file contains time stamps per record - if this answers your question.

By "reception rate" I am referring to the radio signal strength for a given device (HRM, Power Meter, etc.) as recorded by the head unit.

There are some programs out there like "Fit File Repair Tool" that extract the reception rate for every recorded device from a FIT file, and I would like to know how this is done because I see no mention of how to retrieve reception rate data from a FIT file in the SDK.

This is a field that is not publicly available and, at this time, there are no plans to make it available.
