The FIT Protocol Document states that FIT file CRC should be able to be set to 0 to force it to be ignored - pg 12 of Flexible & Interoperable Data Transfer (FIT) Protocol document D00001275 Rev 1.1

However the java parser throws a failure when CRC is set to 0. Is there a flag that needs to be set?      

Yes, that is an older version of the FIT protocol document and that statement is now invalid. The CRC must be calculated at all times.

Download the latest version of the SDK (currently 1.5). A newer release is scheduled later this week.
