AP2 damaged by ESD

When performing ESD test, our AP281M5IB module failed. The rest of electronic seems to be OK, because has ESD protection built-in.

Is there any recommended solution or external part to use? Our module's diodes to VCC probably blew out, remaining with resistance around 300ohms. VCC voltage is in 2.0 to 3.5V operating range, so unidirectional 3.3V Transient Voltage Suppressor cannot be properly used.

There is no word about electrostatic discharge voltage absolute maximum rating in module/chip datasheet.

Hi there,
Since the AP2 module is supposed to be used inside a physical enclosure of the finished product, so ESD protection is not part of the design objections. You should handle the module as an ESD sensitive component.
You can consider to add ESD protection product (such as SP724, SMDA05C-9 ) in GPIO or other ESD sensitive interface ports.
Cheers,
