Hi,
I intend to use ANT protocol for an application of soccer players trackers.
Each soccer player would wear One master and remote sensors communicating with ANT.
But also, ANT protocol would be used to send data to a data agragator. 4 to 6 nodes would be placed around to RF cover the area.
Would ANT fit such an application?
Range is said to be 10-30m... Is that 10m indoor 30m outdoor?

Are thre additionnal information for networks config?
Seems ANTware guide is pretty light...
Is network installation that easy? Even in MESH configuration?

Thanks

Hi,

30m line of sight is a good rough estimate of distance. Outdoors you will likely see less RF interference from other transmitting devices.

Network setup is fairly straightforward, though you'll have to consider different scenario's such as pairing. There are a number of application notes you can refer to.

There is also a flood mesh example called "Scan and Forward" in the N5 Starter Kit SDK. We plan on releasing a new version with an interface that dramatically simplifies the process of using it for developers within the next few weeks.

Best regards,
Harrison
